PERMATApintar UKM2 Test For The Year 2011

INTRODUCTION

PERMATApintar UKM2 Test is a second stage test. It has 15 sections that examine various aspects of cognition, including intelligence aspects of vocabulary, symbol search, repetition of numbers, matching the pattern or shape, understanding and coding.

For the year 2011 the test will be start  on 1 July to 25 August 2011.

ELIGIBILITY

Must pass the PERMATApintar UKM1 Test  2011

HOW TO CHECK

Students can check their eligibility status via online starting June 7, 2011.

TEST CENTRE

The test centres will be announced later.

PERMATA PINTAR UKM1 TEST FOR THE YEAR 2011

GOOD NEWS!!!!! For those gifted student out there you are most welcome to participate this PERMATA PINTAR UKM1 TEST FOR THE YEAR 2011

Permata Pintar UKM1 test will be started from 1 Feb. 2011 till 30 April 2011. This test is only open for Malaysian student ages 8 to 15 years old and can be done at school, home, cybercafé or any places which internet can be reached. This test is first phase to entitle the students to join the programme.

The programmes are:-

  • Permata Pintar Negara Camps at UKM, Bangi ( Only for students ages 9-15 years old)
  • Permata Insan Camps which conducted by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia( Only for students 8 years old)
  • PPMT Permata Pintar UKM is special school for genius students.

PERMATA PINTAR HIGH SCHOOL

Permata Pintar High School Programme for Gifted Malaysian Students

The programme is planned to be a model mode of education for gifted students involving the integration of middle high school curriculum injected with some parts of higher education syllabus and balanced with the curriculum for international-level education.

The full time 2 years programme’s curriculum is made up of six components, including academic, international communication, scientific projects and co-curriculum activities. The proposed fee for every semester is RM1,000 (six months).

For the time being, the pioneer group of students would be temporarily housed at the Zaaba Hostel in UKM,Bangi. The students who were offered places overseas would be allowed to leave the programme halfway.

Permata Pintar Negara Programme patron Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor said that there were 138 gifted Form Four students have been selected to take part in the inaugural Permata Pintar High School Programme at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi starting Jan 17,2011.

However ,by that time only 115 of them including 44 girls had accepted the invitation to join the programme and the rest, had yet to reply the invitation as their parents might want to get more information about the fees structure.

Rosmah said she would discuss with the Government and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on how best to help these gifted students so that they would not be denied the chance to take part in the programme.
